Kehidupan yang Lebih Bermakna..

Today is Monday, 4th day of Eidulfitri 1431H and now, I’m back to business in Penang, the pearl island. It has been two-months of heart-breaking days & nights, being a good loser for not updating my gloomy blog. But 2 months taught me about redha, sabr, fate friendship and relationship. Allah blends this with spices of depression and happiness for me to pass through. If He brings me to it, He will bring me through it! To go through it is an art which of course need iman & knowledge. That is why tazkirah, tarbeeyah and taklim is a must!

I am now stuck in the dazzling pearl of Island as a surgical medical student. Some friends said maybe you are meant to be a surgeon. Oh, I’m not brilliant & hardworking to be a physician and I know the fact I hope to be a breast surgeon. BUT, along the way of becoming a breast surgeon will put me on trouble; PR examination, emergency surgeries and endless on call of hectic surgical work will kill my young times. I might look older than my age very soon. Pity my loved ones!! I always feel I look better as a housewife than houseman. LOL.

Jangan malu, jangan segan, kami bersedia membantu. Kalau tak tahu nak buat pemeriksaan payudara macam mana, pergi je mana-mana klinik kesihatan, minta tolong ajar.

Let the tears drop…..

In life, we’ll never fail meet trials and tribulations.

After all, that are the salt, sugar & spices that grows a great human, if he/she never fails to seek Allah helps.

The moment of sudden, unexpected and great trials reminds us life is not always goes as what is hope and plan. It can be very difficult to bear and stands with, but that is when the Iman plays the role..

Just let the tears drop, do not despair. Allah knows the best. Even it is hard for you to believe it.

Ibn al Qayyim, beautifully describes how Prophet Muhammad cried over a sad situation;

“As for the weeping of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) it was in the same degree as his laughter. He wouldn’t sob loudly and raise his voice, just like his laughter wasn’t loud. However his eyes would fill up with tears, until they flowed out, and you would hear the sound like that of a whistling kettle coming from his chest. He would weep out of mercy for the dead, out of fear and compassion for his ummah, out of deep fear of Allaah (سبحانه وتعالى), upon listening to the Qur’aan. And it was a weeping of longing, love and exaltation, accompanied by fear and khashyah”.
Just let the tears drop. Believe it as Allah knows the best!

GP OSCE

[14th May 2010]

Maybe today is my last day as an undergrad student(hopefully).

I just finished my GP OSCE. Alhamdulillah, its so happy when things dat u practise and targeted came out.

1. Chronic disease: Hyperthyroidism

2. Sharing information: Depression

3. Counselling: Non-compliance to ACE inhibitor(antihypertensive drugs)

4. Clinical skills: ECG

5. Clinical skills: IV infusion

6. Physical examination: Knee examination

Its so funny right, everytime when u finished OSCE, u will be smiling back at urself, reflecting how stupid or how ‘good’ u were acting as ‘good’ doctor. I always had the feeling. To overcome the stress, anxiety and adrenaline rush with limited time & defective brain is not easy to me.

Despite all the practise i had done with my groupmate almost everyday, the unfortunate luck will still happen. Today, i forgot to wear my glove during IV infusion(well, i always practise without the glove) half way through the IV insertion, i saw alcohol liquid in a small cup. I should been using it earlier. But actually, i pretended to use the alcohol wipe earlier, as in the alcohol wipe was the cotton. I inserted it very fast and i had plenty of time (around 2 minutes) looking at the examiner.

The rest of the stations were gagap. Just smile and try to be nice to the patient hopefully i passed. Watever it is, now is 2 weeks study break before the finale. counting down to finish my life in PMC. cant wait! May everything will be nice to me.

5%

Today is  Sunday, but i’ m getting bored doing/reading/learning all the medical researches for the whole weekend. Yet, books are still there to entertain.

The madness is PICO or what most of us call it Evidence Based Medicine (EBM). Dont know why, but this 5% assignment almost make me cry. I hate it because i cant do it now, my attention span is reducing and limiting (symptoms of depression, haha). Analysing researches and critically appraised it…owh, please. Give me the ‘Like’ feeeling now.

I believe most of my friend is sharing the same boat with me.(huhu). Slowly kayuh, the destination is very near the way. But PICO stucks me here….dush3….expressed emotion.

I ”’like”’ PICO…dush..XD

Coolness Song

Keeping with the tense of my study mode.

I love exploring coolness songs to accompany me, refresh my thoughts, calm my emotions and boost my iman. Sadness, loneliness and madness partially relieved with it. Enjoy!

Terima kasih & Jazakallahu khairun

” Masa nak turun bas nanti, jangan lupa cakap ’thank you’ kat driver, memang budaya kat sini,” pesan Kak Ain.

Just say thank you to all of them and insya’Allah your day feels better.

Kalau orang kejutkan kita bangun tidur, ucaplah terima kasih.

Kalau orang ajak kita solat berjemaah, tegur kita, ucaplah terima kasih.

Kalau orang temankan kita makan, ucaplah terima kasih.

Kalau orang tolong mudahkan urusan jual beli, isi minyak, basuh kereta ucaplah terima kasih.

Just say thank you to anyone and everyone who treat you well and ease your day. Susahkah?

The beauty of this word lies in understand its meaning. When we say ‘Thank you’, we obviously intend to let others know how much we appreciate their help. And that’s the end of story.

But there more to it with Jazakallah Khairun. When we utter this word, we imply not only that we appreciate your help, but also that we don’t believe we could ever repay you for the help you offered and leave it on our Lord Allah to reward you with the very best.

To all Muslim and readers,

Jazakallahu khairan kathira for being my friend and read until here. =)

25: Umur itu Amanah

“I’m sure you have more wishes for your future ahead, more meaningful, more significant” said Wei Nin. Only then, i start to think what should i wish?

She is not satisfied when i told her, i just want to pass my final exam!

Well, there are things that only Allah and me will know. Surely, 25 is a great number. Alhamdulillah, praise to Allah, i’m still alive and given opportunities to improve and ‘Amal.

Thanks and Jazakallahu khairan kathira for all prayers. The best gift for me is the best doa from good friends around me.

Big thanks for ” You Can Be The Happiest Woman in the World” book. It reached me at the right time.

” The happiness of the believer lies in loving Allah, and love for the sake of Allah brings deeper happiness whose taste is known to sincere believers who do not accept any substitute for it,” a treasure of reminders.

Beautiful lovely card from Dublin. Wishes in Facebook and mobile phone. Hrmm, somehow no cake for this year! But a small party in a hotel. Well, good. No booster for extracalories.

I pray May Allah blessed my life, ease my way in life, hold and keep my iman with Islam until my last breath.

Dari Abi Barzah al-Aslami r.a., dari Nabi s.a.w, sabdanya:

Biicaralah amalan kamu sebelum kamu dihitung dihadapan ALLAH

-Kalam dari Saidina Umar

Wallahua’lam
